Snow in Utah

One thing that Harrison was so excited for over the holidays was the SNOW! So here is my in-laws backyard. And Harrison lost no time in having fun in it!

He suggested to do a snow angel...and really where had he learned about them, I don't know but his looked pretty authentic!

snowballs...the only problem is when the snow if perfect skiing power, packing into snow balls is practically impossible, so sometimes the best we could do was pick up chunks of snow and throw it up in the air.

Sledding!!! They have this golf course right by their home that has GREAT sledding, so we went over there for as long as Harrison could handle the cold! (which to be honest was less time then me, which is saying a lot since I get cold so easy, but we spent maybe an hour there, had a blast, and brought home the cutest little popsicle!)
The ski goggles were way to big for his little face but they were great at keeping him warm, and he looked so cute!!

Getting ready to play!! it was 7...yes 7 degrees outside. Harrison wanted to play outside. I said no way. He said yes. So I compromised and said we could play in the snow on the deck...
So here we are! I was afraid the camera would freeze but it still luckily worked!

Mckinley needed a couple dethawing moments.
eating the freezing snow and it sticking to him since he was so cold!

Lucy loves the snow so she came out to play too

they loved running back and forth on the deck, I think just trying to feel their toes!
And then of course the warming up by the fire! THAT made it worth it!!!

I thought I'd throw this in there...the kids discovering the iPad...that crazy bird game I think.

We had colds when we came to Utah and then the kids ended up with gastroenteritis and were SO sick (we actually had to change our flight for 5 days later because the kids were throwing up too much to go!) so we didn't get to do all that we wanted but it was so nice staying there and Ry's parents were such a big help!!! Poor Harrison actually spent 6 hours in instacare while they tried to get him to stop throwing up, then bringing his fever down, then his oxygen level went to low, so taking a chest xray and then finally the stars aligned and everything started to work out and his poor little body was able to go home (though it was 5 more days before he could finally keep down some crackers!!!)

Christmas continued

Its my Grandmother Dickey's bday on Christmas Day. So we went there with cousins and family to celebrate that day.

This is Braxon, Jessi's boy and he was actually born a couple day's after Kennedy...
a Couple days before we also went out to eat to celebrate my older brother's Bday as well as my Grandmothers.
A lot of my family and cousins came.
And my 85 year old grandmother sat on the bull saddle! it was hilarious and everyone in the restaurant cheered! My brother was going to to but he said he couldn't beat that!

Christmas Morning 2010

The kids luckily slept in a little but they were excited when they were able to get both Grandma and Grandpa and Mommy and Daddy up!

Harrison loved Toy Story 3...I'm not a fan of the character toys but he wanted a huge Buzz so bad, that this was my compromise.
Stockings

Harrison was the gift passer-outer (is that a word?) He ran to and from the tree giving everyone their presents.
Mckinley loved the unwrapping part, but her fav was the stroller...

Grandma and Grandpa's yummy food throughout the day and a CONSTANT supply of HOT CHOCOLATE!
